Heather Miriam Watson [two] (born nineteen May 1992) is a professional lawn tennis player. A former British No. 1, Watson has won ix titles over her career, including the mixed-doubles championship at the 2016 Wimbledon Championships, partnering Henri Kontinen, making her the first British woman to win a major championship since Jo Durie in 1991, and the first to win a Wimbledon championship since Durie in 1987. In October 2012, Watson won her first WTA Bout singles championship at the Japan Women'due south Open up, becoming the first British woman to win a WTA tournament singles championship since Sara Gomer in 1988.

Watson began competing on the ITF Women's Circuit in March when she entered the qualifying tournament for the $10k effect in Bath, Somerset, but failed to win a match.
